Residential Services

people with disabilities have a right to take an active role in
making decisions about their lives."
Residential services of Beaufort County Developmental Center are
offered to provide people with developmental disabilities the chance
to experience life on their own with the safety net of the residential
staff. Options available through the residential program are considered
transitional programs that encourage individuals to progress towards
independent housing.
Group homes offer:
- Family-like environment
- 24 hour supervision and instruction
- Private rooms for each resident
- Financial assistance and rental
subsidies may be available
- Planned activities and outings
Apartments offer:
- On-site manager
- Assistance with skill development
- Challenge of semi independent living
