BCDC Vocational Services
"We believe that
people with disabilities have a right to live and work in their home
community. BCDC is dedicated to providing them with the support
they need to make this possible."
The Adult
Developmental and Vocational Program, called VOICE (Vocational
Opportunities in Community Employment) is a work activity
program funded by the Developmental Disabilities Services
Section of the North Carolina Division of Mental Health,
Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services.

This
state-mandated program is designed to teach adults with
developmental disabilities, ages 16 and over, skills that will
enhance a person's ability to live and work independently by
providing:
- Marketable
job skills
- Industry
accepted work habits
- Communication
skills
- Social
competencies
